Getting in touch with Julie

Looking for a psychologist in Brisbane Northside? My office is located in Zillmere just a few minutes from Gympie Road and Sandgate Road. There’s off street parking available on-site. If you need to catch public transport, the Zillmere train station is a 9 minute walk away, and there is a bus stop almost right outside.

I know it can feel like a big step to call a psychologist, but I’ll make it easy. We’ll spend 15-minutes on the phone and I’ll let you know how or if I can help. If I am not the right person, I’ll do my best to suggest who might be able to help.

I have substantial experience providing IFS, EMDR, mindfulness and compassion-based therapies for anxiety and bereavement grief with adults.

I offer appointments during the following office hours:

  • Monday: mornings from 8am

  • Tuesday: mornings from 8am

  • Wednesday: mornings from 8am

  • Thursday: afternoons from 12.30pm

  • Friday: mornings from 8am

I work with clients weekly to ensure they get the support they need and so that we can really get momentum towards the changes they want from therapy.

My fee is $250 per 50-60 minute session. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from a GP, Medicare provides a $145.25 rebate per session. Up to 10 sessions can be approved per calendar year under a MHTP.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2025-2026 sets the standard fee for a 40-60 minute consultation at $318 per session.

If you have private health insurance that covers psychology, I can issue you with an invoice so you can claim rebates for sessions with your fund. (Can’t be claimed at the same time as MHTP rebates for the same session.)

I am not currently accepting NDIS, Workcover or DVA funded clients.

I am not currently taking new clients

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately my schedule is currently completely full, so I am not taking any new clients at the moment.

I highly recommend you connect with a therapist that meets your needs now, as I imagine you’ve waited a long time. Your local GP and the APS Find A Psychologist directory can help connect you with another therapist.

That said, if you are not in need of immediate support and would like to be informed the next time I have an opening for therapy, you can subscribe to my newsletter below. That is the first place I post when I have openings.
